Quality Improvement Commission at the IfB
The IfB's Quality Improvement Commission advises the Chair on the improvement of teaching and study conditions as well as on quality improvement in accordance with Section 3 of the Study Quality Act. Since 2009, the University of Wuppertal has also had a university-wide quality management system.
This commission in the IfB consists of seven voting members and the deputy chair of the IfB as an advisory member. This commission only discusses topics relating to educational sciences and special educational support .
Current Chairman of the Quality Improvement Commission
The IfB's Quality Improvement Commission meets at regular intervals and advises on current issues relating to quality in educational sciences and special educational needs. It works hand in hand with the Academic Advisory Board.
Internal faculty complaints are discussed anonymously, surveys are initiated and results are discussed. The commission also advises on the use of quality improvement funds in the faculty and always focuses on the concerns of students and the student council.
There are decentralised quality improvement commissions in each faculty. These advise on the (sub-)degree programmes of the respective faculty.

We are happy to invite students and lecturers to our committee to discuss current topics and concerns. However, if you do not wish to attend in person but still have topics on your mind, you can let us know in writing and we will bring your concerns to the committee: in both cases, simply send an email to our Quality Officer Dr Anita Gerullis.
