PhD students and postdocs at the IfB are welcome as members of the GSE!
Doctoral candidates and other scientists outside the IfB are welcome to apply for associate membership.
Acceptance as a doctoral candidate at the IfB is required for admission as a doctoral member of the GSE. In addition, the general supervision agreement and the supplement to the supervision agreement must be concluded. In this supplement, the supervisor and doctoral candidate jointly decide on admission to the GSE - this is also possible at a later date. After your admission, we ask you to provide us with some basic information about your availability and the focus of your work.
If you have not yet been accepted as a doctoral candidate at the IfB, you can still become a member by also providing us with your basic information and submitting the required documents within 6 months.
GSE membership is open to all doctoral researchers who are named as supervisors in the supervision agreement of lfB doctoral candidates or who contribute to the tasks of the GSE.
An informal application must be submitted to the GSE office[gse-ifb[at]uni-wuppertal.de].
Doctoral candidates, postdocs and other researchers in the field of multidisciplinary educational research who are admitted to or working at another institution of the University of Wuppertal or another university or non-university research institution in Germany or abroad have the opportunity to become associate members of the GSE.
Associate membership is open to the following (early career) researchers:
- other doctoral candidates at the University of Wuppertal with doctoral projects in the context of multidisciplinary educational research,
- doctoral candidates from other German and foreign universities or non-university research institutions in the field of educational research (e.g. in cooperative doctoral programmes),
- other researchers at the University of Wuppertal, insofar and as long as they contribute to educational research projects,
- academics with doctorates from other German and foreign universities or non-university research institutions in the field of educational research, provided they contribute to the GSE programme.
